Mark & Joy Marschall have lived and worked in Yellowstone as park rangers. Mark was a ranger for over 20 years, spending much of that time doing backcountry patrol. Joy was a ranger-naturalist, leading guided hikes in the Fishing Bridge area. They have combined their firsthand knowledge of the park with that of other rangers to produce an accurate and up-to-date guide to Yellowstone's trails.
