On Saturday, September 26 at 3:30pm, the Yellowstone Gateway Museum Foundation is offering a field trip to the Tom Miner Basin by comfortable coach. The Anderson Family is hosting Guided Bear Watching & Ecology and a picnic dinner catered by Melissa O’Hare’s Mountain Thyme Catering. Malou Anderson will speak on the successful management strategies employed by the Tom Miner Basin Association that have fostered the coexistence of wildlife and cattle ranches. The coach trip departs from the Park County Fair Grounds. Dan Anderson will be providing an update on the progress of Safe Passages – the effort to provide safe wildlife passages over US89. Tickets are $150/person and are on sale through the Yellowstone Gateway Museum.
